Your Responsibilities

• Creating, maintaining, and updating high-performance WordPress themes and plugins using the best modern practices;
• Optimizing website performance, accessibility, basic SEO, and security;
• Implementing design files (mainly Figma, XD) into functional web pages using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JS;
• Integrating third-party APIs with WordPress;
• Utilize front-end libraries and frameworks (if applicable);
• Perform routine updates to themes and plugins;
• Migrating WordPress sites from one host to another, ensuring all data, themes, and plugins are intact;
• Working closely with project managers, designers, and other developers to ensure timely completion of tasks;
• Staying updated with the latest WordPress trends, best practices, and updates;
• Share insights and knowledge with the team to foster collective growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in a similar position;
• Good knowledge of CSS, HTML, PHP, JavaScript (ES6+, REST API, modern JavaScript features);
• Knowledge of any CSS Frameworks (e.g. Tailwind, Bootstrap, etc.);
• Knowledge of graphic design programs, such as Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, and Illustrator (proficient enough to cut graphic designs to code);
• Knowledge of version control systems (GIT);
• Good knowledge of ACF and Gutenberg;
• Good knowledge of PHP;
• Good knowledge of SASS, preferably SCSS;
• Ability to work with custom APIs;
• Ability to create and customize CSS/JS animations;
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to WordPress websites;
• Ability to communicate in English and Polish (at least B2).

Nice to have

• Experience with WooCommerce or other e-commerce platforms;
• Knowledge of common PHP frameworks;
• Familiarity with Angular, React, Gatsby, Vue;
• Familiarity with OOP, Zend, Laravel, or Symfony
• Knowledge of CSS methodologies (BEM, ATOM, etc.);
• Familiarity with WordPress page builders (Elementor, WPBakery, and Oxygen)
• Understanding of WordPress security best practices;
• Experience with RESTful API or GraphQL integrations in WordPress
• Knowledge of web accessibility standards and their implementation in WordPress development;
